"This is Sir Josslyn Buckhorn, Bt. (later Viscount Buckhorn), the managing director of F.R. Buckhorn & Sons,
the world-wide maker of herbivore goodies (think of a combination of General Mills, Heinz, Campbell's Soup
and Wrigley's). As you can see from the map, the firm has operations around the world (including Vladivostok)."
"In the Spontoon Island stories that involve Joss, he's known to have a volcanic temper,
especially when the subject of his only buck-fawn, Reggie, is raised. They don't get along."
"Actually, he *does* have a soft spot, for his mate, Lady Gwladys (whose picture can be seen on the desk).
Yes, they bicker occasionally, but she is one of the very few furs that Joss respects,
