Rusty was a freelance professional artist & cartoonist who frequently

published the adventure comic strip "Ace and Queenie"
in the anthology comic book "Furrlough" published by Radio Comics.
He also worked for comic book companies and
did commissioned illustrations.

Rusty also published "Ace and Queenie" as a webcomic,
and chose to use a 1960s version of the public domain
Spontoon Island setting for the most recent webcomics,
("The Jade Death Gambit") and for planned new stories.

Rusty also contributed original art with his characters
on the Spontoon Islands and illustrated stories by other
contributors with commissioned art.

This page is a collected archive of some of his art
(with a Spontoon Island setting or flavor) that he had allowed
to be published on this website.

"The Venus of the Air",
and Lady Helen Todd is carefully co-incidental....)

In 2009, Rusty had inquired if it would be OK to use the
Spontoon Archipelago as the location for Alex Decker's
hidden island base of operations for his 1960s flavor
Ace & Queenie adventure stories....

Of course, it was (and is) OK.
I think I would like to consider that as one island
where Alex Decker & his friends & allies could be right now.
